DOWD - Anne Ruskan, joined her beloved husband Tom in Paradise on October 14, 2009.

She was surrounded by her loving children: Maria (Steven Resler), Nora (James Eisenhower), Andrea (Steven Ceely), Patrick, Tommy (Kathy O'Shaughnessy); her grandchildren: Kaitlin Resler, Anne and Christopher Eisenhower, Emily and Kerry Dowd and Andrew Olafsson. Anne was born in Bayonne, New Jersey on Easter Sunday, April 4, 1926 to Andrew and Mary (nee Stofa) Hruska. She was predeceased by siblings: Jan Ruskan, Michael Hruska, George Ruskan, Andrew Hruska, Mary Ruskan Rudolf, Stephen Hruska and Joseph Hruska. A

Anne was the Circulation Department Head at the Sachem Public Library for 26 years and was appointed treasurer of the Library Board following retirement. She held that position until moving to Albany, NY in 2002, where she lived with her daughter Maria and family.

 She filled our hearts with unconditional love and will alwas be remembered for her easy laughter and joy for life. We loved her well.

 Reposing at Moloney's Lake Funeral Home, 132 Ronkonkoma Ave., Lake Ronkonkoma, NY, where a Religious Service will be held Sunday 3pm. Funeral Mass Monday 10am at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Lake Ronkonkoma. Interment following Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Coram, NY. Visiting Saturday 6-9pm and Sunday 2-5pm and 7-9pm.
