The sacrament of Confession, also known as Reconciliation or Penance, is a profound experience of the love and mercy of God. The Franciscan friars at St. Francis of Assisi have always made the celebration of this sacrament one of our primary missions. Our goal is to help people experience God’s eternal love for each of us, a love that is greater than any sin we may commit. Whether someone regularly celebrates this great sacrament, or whether someone is new or hasn’t been to confession in a while, we do our best to try to make this a time of grace and peace. It’s no wonder that some people call St. Francis of Assisi on 31st street, “New York’s confessional.”

Monday – Friday:
8:00 to 9:00 AM
11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
4:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
