About Father Mychal Judge, OFM
Father Mychal was a Franciscan and served as the NYC Fire Department chaplain who died along with 342 FDNY firefighters while responding to the 9/11/2001 World Trade Center attack. He was Death Certificate Number One in that fateful tragedy. He lived in Franciscan fraternity in our beloved parish for many years and cherished the Church of St. Francis of Assisi’s architecture and legacy of spirituality.
