On Monday, January 20, 2025 our nation will commemorate the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

We will have only one Mass. This Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM.

There will be no confessions, and the church offices and adult education center are closed for the day.*

(*please note: when the church offices are closed all ministry meetings, classes and self-help groups are suspended)

Dr. King’s Letter from Birmingham Jail, written in April 1963, shows him breaking shackles, both for himself and the civil rights movement as a whole. The Jubilee, in ancient Israelite tradition, was a time for slaves to be set free, prisoners to be released, and justice to be restored. As we celebrate this Jubilee Year of Hope, we remember Dr. King’s work for liberation and peace under grueling circumstances. Let us work for justice in our time!
