Fr. Mychal Judge was the FDNY Chaplain who lost his life at World Trade Center on 9/11 2001.
We Honor FDNY, NYPD, PAPD Heroes of that fateful day. We honor those who now serve and protect us.
This Walk was founded by NYPD Detective Steven McDonald. Steven passed from line of duty injuries in January of 2017.
He said we must never forget what happened on 911. He had the knowledge and foresight to see the importance of this Walk. The 911 Walk Team carries on this mission.
We honor the memory of those lost on 911 as we trace the path of Father Mychal Judge in the spirit of prayer and remembrance!
- 8:00 AM Mass, Church of St. Francis of Assisi (upper church)
- 9:30 AM Rosary at St Francis of Assisi Church (outside the main entrance)
- 10:00 AM Walk begins at E1L24 FDNY (across street from St. Francis on 31st street)
- circa 12:00 PM Walk concludes at St Peters Church on Barclay Street
All are invited to walk the route down 7th Ave that Father Mychal and so many other travelled that day.
