This seminar will explore the lives of illustrious women saints, blesseds, and holy women from the Renaissance period. Through cultural and historical resources participants will explore how the lives of these individuals from centuries past can be relevant in today’s world and in our contemporary lives. Some of the women to be presented are Rita of Cascia, Catherine of Genoa, Jeanne de Valois and Barbie Acarie of France, Margaret Pole of England, Teresa of Avila, Margaret Birmingham Ball of Ireland and others.
There will be an optional visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art with a focus on the Medici exhibit. Date of the visit to be determined the day of the seminar.
