Jesus Falls A Third Time

Pray the Stations of the Cross using this guide that relates what is happening to Jesus on his way to Calvary with what is happening to our common home and people with the climate crisis.

Jesus’ journey nears the end, and the weight of evil in the world bears down on Him as he grows weaker and falls a third time. As climate change intensifies, our crosses will become heavier and our commitment may wane, causing us to fall again. Yet the cries of the poor and the earth motivate us to get up from our fall and remain steadfast in our response as Christians.

“Despite all attempts to deny, conceal, gloss over or relativize the issue, the signs of climate change are here and increasingly evident.” Pope Francis (LD 5)
